Jonas při překladu tabulky z Abydosu zjistí chybu v překladu dr. Daniela Jacksona. Nejedná se zde o ztracené město, ale město ztracených - Vis Uban. Přijde také na to, že adresa planety, na které se nachází, bude poslední, kterou Jack zadal do počítače, když disponoval vědomostmi Antiků. Vydávají se na tuto planetu a nacházejí město, ve kterém zrovna pobývají další poutníci, kteří také město zkoumají. K údivu pozemšťanů, je jedním z dočasných obyvatel města i Daniel Jacksom. Ukazuje se však, že Daniel trpí amnézií a nepamatuje si nic ze své minulosti. Nepoznává své přátele a kolegy z SG-1, dokonce si ani nepamatuje, kdo je a kým byl. Samantha Daniela přesvědčí, aby se s nimi vrátil do SGC, že by si mohl vzpomenout. Daniel si s pomocí svých přátel postupně vzpomíná, kdo je. Nadále však již nedisponuje nadlidskými schopnostmi, které měl, když byl ascendován.

Daniela a Jonase napadne podstrčit Anubisovi, který si velmi rychle podmaňuje síly Vládců Soustavy, falešnou tabulku o ztraceném městě. Dají vládci Ti polohu, kde se Anubis bude nacházet, aby ho mohl porazit. Když je Anubis na očekávaném místě, Daniel a Jonas se dostanou na jeho loď, aby mohli zjistit kódy pro štíty a odvysílat je Carterové a O’Neillovi. Ti přilétají v X-302 a díky kódu proletí ochrannými štíty a zničí Anubisovu novou zbraň. Dále by měl pomoci vládce Ti se svou flotilou, ale ten na poslední chvíli poruší dohodu, zajme Teal´ca a odlétá jinam. Jonase zatím dopadnou jaffské stráže a Anubis hodlá prozkoumat jeho mozek stejným zařízením, které použil i na Thora.

O’Neill: „You were a member of my team, SG-1. You’re a friend of mine. Last year, you died.“
Jackson: „I’m dead?“
O’Neill: „Obviously not. You just sort of died. Actually, you... ascended to a higher plain of existence. Last time I saw you, you were helping us fight Anubis.“
Jackson: „Anubis?“
O’Neill: „Yeah, kind of an over-the-top, cliché bad guy. Black cloak, oily skin, kind of spooky. Anyway, obviously since then, you’ve retaken human form, somehow.“

O’Neill: „Remember when I said it was like talking to a wall?“

Hammond: „You have no memory of who I am?“
Jackson: „None whatsoever.“
O’Neill: „Neither do I, Sir.“

Jackson: „Has your hair always been that way?“
O’Neill: „What way?“
Jackson: „Never mind.“

Jackson: „Beside, who am I gonna tell? I mean, I don’t, uh, I don’t remember anybody, right?“
O’Neill: „Good one.“
Jackson: „Thanks, Jim.“

O’Neill: „Okay. Everyone who thinks this is absolutely an insane idea, raise your hand. Come on, be honest.“ Everyone, including Sam, eventually raises their hand.
Hammond: „Keep your hands up, people, because the next question is who is going to make this happen?“

O’Neill: „All I’m saying... just for the record... this is the wackiest plan we’ve ever come up with.“
Carter: „Wackier than strapping an active stargate to the bottom of the X-302?“
O’Neill: „Oh, yeah.“
Carter: „Wackier than... than blowing up a sun?“
O’Neill: „Yep!“
Carter (to Jonas and Jackson): „He’s probably right.“

Davis (over the speaker): „Airstrike, this is command base. You are a go for take off.“
O’Neill: „Yeah, I thought we were going with ‘Red Leader’ on this one.“

Anubis: „You will suffer gravely.“
Jonas: „Yeah, I figured as much. Although, I am consoled by the fact that we succeeded in destroying the power source for your new weapon.“
Anubis: „You are in no position to gloat.“
Jonas: „We just wiped out your single advantage you had over the Goa’uld. I would say that that’s... about as good a reason as any.“
Anubis: „Enough!“
Jonas: „I won’t tell you anything.“
Anubis: „Oh... yes... you... will.“
